Gum drops contain tormentil tincture with tannins that have astringent effects reducing swelling in inflammatory processes. Myrrh tincture also acts as an astringent, disinfects, and supports tissue granulation, while peppermint oil acts as an antiseptic.
Herbifit gum drops are recommended to be rubbed on the affected area several times a day. For the purpose of rinsing the oral cavity, 10-15 drops are added to a glass of water, and then gargled briefly and thrown out. Swallowing Herbifit gum drops is not recommended.
