XILOZIN 0.5 mg/ml nasal spray is intended for local application to the nasal mucosa (rhinological preparation), and contains an alpha-sympathomimetic drug – xylometazoline. Xylometazoline works by narrowing small blood vessels (vasoconstrictive property) and thus reduces swelling of the mucous membrane (decongestive effect).
XILOZIN 0.5 mg/ml nasal spray is used:
To reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa in colds, vasomotor rhinitis (runny nose due to occasional dilation of blood vessels) and allergic rhinitis;
To facilitate discharge of secretions from the nose in case of inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, as well as catarrhal inflammation of the middle ear in connection with a cold.
XILOZIN 0.5 mg/ml nasal spray is intended for use in children aged 2 to 6 years.”
Use the medicine as directed by the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Children aged 2-6 years 1 spray in each nostril up to 3 times a day, as needed. No longer than 7 days.
One ml of solution contains: xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg. With one press of the spray pump, 0.07 ml of solution containing 0.035 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride is released.
Auxiliary substances with known effects: benzalkonium chloride.
