XILOZIN 1 mg/ml nasal spray is intended for local application to the nasal mucosa (rhinological preparation), and contains an alpha-sympathomimetic drug – xylometazoline.
Xylometazoline works by narrowing the small blood vessels (vasoconstrictive property) and thus reduces the swelling of the mucous membrane (decongestive effect).
XILOZIN 1 mg/ml nasal spray is used:
To reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa in colds, vasomotor rhinitis (runny nose due to occasional dilation of blood vessels) and allergic rhinitis;
To facilitate discharge of secretions from the nose in case of inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, as well as catarrhal inflammation of the middle ear in connection with a cold.
XILOZIN 1 mg/ml nasal spray is intended for use in adults and school-age children.
Use the medicine according to the enclosed instructions or as told to you by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Adults and children aged 6 years and over: 1 spray in each nostril up to 3 times a day. No longer than 7 days.
One ml of the solution contains: xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg. With one press of the spray pump, 0.14 ml of the solution is released, containing 0.140 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride.
Excipients with known effect: benzalkonium chloride.
